Please Help

For the last 14 years, DreamCatcher has been saving thousands of young people, ages 14-18, from the streets…from commercial sexual exploiters, the risk of suicide, abuse, illness and chronic homelessness.  Our work is done in partnership with the support of our community.

The Bay Area is one of largest centers of domestic trafficking in the US. DreamCatcher has been providing shelter to innocent youth who at risk and who have been stolen into this industry.

Children go homeless when violence, drug abuse and danger in the home becomes overwhelming.  Youth on the streets rarely have any real resources for survival.  DreamCatcher Youth Services provides safety, shelter, support and resources that help the youth find their way to a stability.

DreamCatcher youth have gone on to become college graduates, lawyers, social workers, artists and contributing members of our community.

We need your help to respond to every youth that calls or walks in our door.  Their welfare requires the care and commitment of our entire community.  Please join our Dreamcatcher family with a donation, cooking a meal or volunteering your skills.

THANK YOU From the DreamCatcher family.

THE HOLIDAYS

>
>
> We were sitting at the table during dinner last night at the drop in center at the shelter.  We were talking about Christmas and I said to one of the clients,” you don’t want to miss Christmas here!  Dinner starts at 4 and there are the gifts”
>
> She said,”What do you mean?”
>
> I said,” You gave us your wish list..don’t you think we are connected enough to Santa to pass that along?”
>
> She said, “Well I gave it to you but I thought everyone was just talking…there are real gifts…?”
>
> The other more saavy kids went on to harass her lack of info about how it all works, you tell us what you want, we try to get it…
>
> But what it was for me….was one of the moments of hope that start stringing together to make a belief in the world again.
>
> So,Yes, and apparently real Santa’s…Thank you……..
